AbstractPower spectra of longitudinal and vertical components of wind velocity have been measured over a variety of terrain types: uniform, inhomogeneous and urban. The result shows that the spectral shapes and peaks of u‐spectra are sensitive to local terrain, while those of w‐spectra are not affected by changes in roughness surface.
