Sử Dụng Bối Cảnh Diễn Đạt Tham Chiếu Trong Xử Lý Câu Trực Tuyến và Ngoại Tuyến Ở Người Học Ngôn Ngữ Thứ Hai

Nghiên cứu hiện tại nhằm mục đích điều tra (a) mức độ mà những người học tiếng Anh nói tiếng Trung ở Đài Loan sử dụng thông tin cụm danh từ tham chiếu (NP) chứa trong bối cảnh diễn đạt để hoàn thành các mẩu câu danh từ/động từ mơ hồ trong một nhiệm vụ hoàn thành câu, và (b) liệu họ có sử dụng những bối cảnh này để làm rõ sự hiểu biết giữa động từ chính và mệnh đề quan hệ rút gọn (MV/RRC) trong thời gian thực hay không và khi nào. Kết quả cho thấy rằng, khác với những người nói tiếng Anh bản ngữ, những người học tiếng Anh không tạo ra sự gia tăng rõ rệt trong việc hoàn thành RRC trong các bối cảnh diễn đạt có hai tham chiếu NP ngoại trừ đối với những người học nâng cao. Tuy nhiên, giống như những người nói tiếng bản ngữ, những người học ở các cấp độ năng lực tiếng Anh sơ cấp, trung cấp và nâng cao đều sử dụng thông tin này trong một giai đoạn sau để giải quyết những mơ hồ giữa MV/RRC trong thời gian thực. Hiệu ứng chậm trễ của thông tin bối cảnh tham chiếu được quan sát cho thấy rằng những người học L2, giống như những người nói bản ngữ, có khả năng xây dựng các ánh xạ từ cú pháp đến diễn đạt trong thời gian thực.
