Việc phân tách, phát hiện và định lượng các loài cụ thể có trong mẫu trong lĩnh vực Di sản Văn hóa đòi hỏi các phương pháp chọn lọc, nhạy cảm và đáng tin cậy. Các quy trình dựa trên sắc ký lỏng đáp ứng các yêu cầu này và cung cấp một phạm vi ứng dụng rộng rãi về loại chất phân tích và phạm vi nồng độ. Các ứng dụng chính của Sắc ký lỏng hiệu suất cao trong lĩnh vực này liên quan đến việc phân tách và phát hiện phẩm màu trong các vật liệu khảo cổ và mẫu sơn bằng sắc ký lỏng pha nghịch với các bộ phát hiện phù hợp. Tài liệu liên quan sẽ được xem xét, với sự chú ý đặc biệt đến các chiến lược xử lý mẫu và các phát triển trong tương lai. Sắc ký pha nghịch cũng gần đây đã trở nên ngày càng quan trọng trong việc phân tích các chất kết dính lipid và các vật liệu lipid trong các mẫu khảo cổ: những ưu điểm và nhược điểm chính của các phương pháp mới sẽ được thảo luận.
