Việc sử dụng y học bổ sung trong chăm sóc giảm nhẹ tại Pháp: một nghiên cứu quan sát cắt ngang

Chăm sóc giảm nhẹ cho bệnh nhân ung thư giải quyết các vấn đề thể chất, tâm lý xã hội và tinh thần mà bệnh nhân ung thư, gia đình của họ, cộng đồng và các nhà cung cấp dịch vụ y tế phải đối mặt. Nghiên cứu về việc sử dụng y học bổ sung (CM) tại Pháp còn hạn chế mặc dù tỷ lệ báo cáo sử dụng CM cao ở các quốc gia khác, bao gồm cả bệnh nhân trong giai đoạn giảm nhẹ. Nghiên cứu này mô tả việc sử dụng CM bởi các cá nhân nhận được chăm sóc giảm nhẹ tại Lyon, Pháp. Nghiên cứu đã sử dụng thiết kế khảo sát cắt ngang quan sát. Nghiên cứu được thực hiện tại ba trung tâm chăm sóc giảm nhẹ ở Lyon, Pháp; hai bệnh viện hạng ba và một đơn vị chăm sóc giảm nhẹ (3 địa điểm). Các bệnh nhân nội trú và ngoại trú đến phòng khám chăm sóc giảm nhẹ với chẩn đoán chính là ung thư tại mỗi địa điểm nghiên cứu đã được mời tham gia. Trong số 138 bệnh nhân đủ điều kiện, 100 người đã hoàn thành khảo sát (tỷ lệ phản hồi 72,4%). Phần lớn (90,7%) cho biết đã sử dụng CM trong 6 tháng qua hoặc kể từ khi chẩn đoán ung thư chính. Việc sử dụng CM của người tham gia ở mức độ như nhau (20,7%) hoặc tăng lên kể từ khi được chẩn đoán ung thư chính (33,7%). Chi phí trung bình out-of-pocket liên quan đến việc sử dụng CM trong 6 tháng qua hoặc kể từ khi chẩn đoán là 157,40€ (SD 330,15€). Chuyên gia sức khỏe CM phổ biến nhất mà người tham gia đã đến thăm là nhà trị liệu hương liệu (72,7%), Coupeurs de feu (38,6%), nhà nắn xương (28,6%) và nhà tự nhiên học (15,3%). Các loại CM phổ biến nhất được sử dụng là tinh dầu liệu pháp hương liệu (33,7%), liệu pháp vi lượng đồng căn (30,0%) và vitamin (29,4%). Khảo sát thứ hai về việc sử dụng CM tại Pháp này là khảo sát đầu tiên được thực hiện tại các trung tâm chăm sóc giảm nhẹ. Kết quả cho thấy người bệnh ung thư tại Lyon, Pháp, có tỷ lệ sử dụng CM rất cao.
