Trong những năm gần đây, phát triển bền vững và trách nhiệm xã hội đã trở thành những vấn đề quan trọng trên toàn cầu. Các nhà đầu tư đang quan tâm đến cái được gọi là 'đầu tư có trách nhiệm xã hội' (SRI), một chiến lược đầu tư áp dụng các tiêu chí khác ngoài rủi ro và lợi nhuận tài chính khi lựa chọn các công ty để đầu tư. Thực tiễn SRI cho thấy ngày càng có nhiều nhà đầu tư muốn xem xét nhiều tiêu chí hơn. Trước xu hướng toàn cầu này, câu hỏi đặt ra là làm thế nào để những vấn đề này có thể được tích hợp vào quy trình ra quyết định đầu tư.
