Tình trạng hệ sinh sản của loài cá tench Tinca tinca (1999–2005) trong các vùng nước bị ô nhiễm do thảm họa tại Nhà máy điện hạt nhân Chernobyl

Tình trạng hệ sinh sản của loài Tinca tinca—những thế hệ con cháu của cá đã tiếp xúc với bức xạ do thảm họa tại Nhà máy điện hạt nhân Chernobyl vào năm 1986 đã được nghiên cứu. Tài liệu được thu thập trong giai đoạn sau thảm họa tại các vùng nước bị ô nhiễm radionuclide: ở Ukraine, trong hồ Kiev, sông Teterev, và hồ Glubokoe (1999–2005) và ở Belarus, trong hồ Svyatoe (1998–1999). Kết quả cho thấy tổng số lượng và mức độ rối loạn ở tuyến sinh dục của T. tinca có mối quan hệ tích cực với mức độ ô nhiễm tại các vùng nước: trong vùng nước sạch nhất, sông Teterev, tỷ lệ cá có tuyến sinh dục không có sự biến dạng đáng kể là khoảng 93%; trong hồ Kiev, 79%, và trong hồ Svyatoe, chỉ đạt 18%. Trong số các thế hệ “sau thảm họa” của T. tinca, số lượng rối loạn ở các tế bào sinh dục và tuyến sinh dục cao nhất được ghi nhận ở F3–4, điều này rõ ràng do hiện tượng “đột biến kéo dài”. Hệ sinh sản của T. tinca cho thấy khả năng kháng đặc trưng tương đối cao đối với tác động bức xạ, so với các loài cá chép khác.
