Nghiên cứu này thực hiện một đánh giá tài liệu hệ thống và phân tích tổng hợp về ảnh hưởng tiềm tàng của nồng độ axit uric huyết thanh đối với các bệnh mạch máu nhỏ ở não và tình trạng nhận thức trong giai đoạn dự báo của chứng mất trí nhớ. Chúng tôi đã xác định bốn loại bệnh mạch máu nhỏ khác nhau ở não và ba lĩnh vực cụ thể về hiệu suất nhận thức cần được xem xét trong tìm kiếm tài liệu. Phân tích bao gồm 14 nghiên cứu (13 thiết kế cắt ngang và một thiết kế theo chiều dọc) với 11.502 người tham gia đo lường mối quan hệ giữa axit uric và bệnh mạch máu nhỏ não. Trong cả phân tích liên tục và phân loại, đã phát hiện ra mối liên hệ significan giữa tình trạng tăng axit uric và các bệnh mạch máu nhỏ não (dữ liệu liên tục: OR tổng hợp: 1.00, 95%CI: 1.00–1.01 và dữ liệu phân loại: OR tổng hợp: 1.42, 95%CI: 1.15–1.75). Đối với mối quan hệ giữa axit uric và hiệu suất nhận thức, 19 nghiên cứu với 49.901 người tham gia đã được xem xét, bao gồm tám nghiên cứu đoàn hệ và 11 nghiên cứu cắt ngang. Dữ liệu cắt ngang cho thấy một mối quan hệ nhỏ giữa axit uric và tổng thể nhận thức (β: 0.00, 95%CI: -0.01–0.00). Phân tích tổng hợp của các nghiên cứu đoàn hệ chỉ ra rằng nồng độ axit uric cao có tác động tiêu cực đến chức năng chú ý và chức năng điều hành (dữ liệu liên tục: β: -0.02, 95%CI: -0.04–0.00 và dữ liệu phân loại: β: -0.03, 95%CI: -0.07–0.00). Kết luận: Nghiên cứu của chúng tôi chỉ ra rằng nồng độ axit uric cao có tác động xấu đến sức khỏe não bộ. Hơn nữa, nồng độ axit uric cao liên quan đến sự suy giảm nhận thức ở chức năng chú ý và chức năng điều hành, có thể tồn tại một thời gian dài trước khi chẩn đoán chứng mất trí nhớ.
