Tóm tắt

Nghiên cứu này nhằm khám phá các con đường trực tiếp và gián tiếp từ tình trạng kinh tế xã hội (SES) trong thời thơ ấu đến tỷ lệ mất răng ở những cá nhân Trung Quốc trong độ tuổi trung niên đến muộn bằng phương pháp mô hình phương trình cấu trúc (SEM). Nghiên cứu này phân tích dữ liệu từ 17.032 cá nhân Trung Quốc trong độ tuổi trung niên đến muộn trong Nghiên cứu Dài hạn về Sức khỏe và Nghỉ hưu Trung Quốc (CHARLS) năm 2014 và 2015. SES thời thơ ấu được xác định dựa trên trình độ giáo dục và nghề nghiệp của cha mẹ, tình hình tài chính của gia đình, nơi ở chính, khả năng tiếp cận thực phẩm và tiện ích y tế. SES tuổi trưởng thành được xác định theo thành tích học tập của cá nhân. Mất răng được định nghĩa là sự mất tất cả răng tự nhiên. SEM đã được sử dụng để kiểm tra ý nghĩa thống kê của mối liên hệ giữa SES thời thơ ấu và mất răng, bị ảnh hưởng bởi sức khỏe thời thơ ấu, SES tuổi trưởng thành và sức khỏe người lớn. SES thời thơ ấu có tác động gián tiếp đáng kể (β = -0.026, p < 0.01) và tổng thể (β = -0.040, p < 0.01) lên việc mất răng. Kết quả cho thấy 65% của tổng tác động của SES thời thơ ấu lên mất răng là gián tiếp, và chủ yếu được trung gian bởi SES người lớn. Ngoài ra, các chỉ số phù hợp của mô hình tốt nhất đều trong giới hạn chấp nhận được. Nghiên cứu này tiết lộ rằng sức khỏe thời thơ ấu, sức khỏe người lớn và SES người lớn là những yếu tố trung gian giải thích mối quan hệ giữa SES thời thơ ấu và mất răng. Sự chú ý toàn cầu nhằm giảm thiểu bất bình đẳng trong mất răng nên tập trung vào việc tìm kiếm các khuyến nghị và chiến lược can thiệp từ thời thơ ấu đến tuổi trưởng thành, bằng cách xem xét SES người lớn, sức khỏe thời thơ ấu và sức khỏe người lớn.
