Các nhà quản lý đóng vai trò quan trọng trong việc khuyến khích và hỗ trợ các sáng kiến của từng nhân viên khám phá cơ hội mới, phát triển sản phẩm mới hoặc cải thiện quy trình làm việc mang lại lợi ích cho tổ chức. Nghiên cứu này xem xét ảnh hưởng của các phong cách lãnh đạo của nhà quản lý đến hành vi khởi nghiệp nội bộ của nhân viên và vai trò trung gian của sự nhận diện tổ chức. Mô hình Cân bằng Bán phần đã được sử dụng để phân tích dữ liệu từ 186 nhân viên thuộc nhiều tổ chức công và tư nhân ở Tây Ban Nha. Kết quả cho thấy lãnh đạo biến đổi có tác động tích cực đến hành vi khởi nghiệp nội bộ của nhân viên, trong khi lãnh đạo giao dịch lại có ảnh hưởng tiêu cực đến hành vi này. Hơn nữa, những tác động này được phát hiện là bị trung gian một phần bởi sự nhận diện tổ chức.
