Nghiên cứu này xem xét ảnh hưởng của tôn giáo đối với các mô hình sinh sản của người Mexico - Mỹ thông qua hai mô hình khác nhau: Mô hình Thể chế sử dụng sự tham gia chính thức vào Giáo hội Công giáo La Mã như một thước đo tôn giáo và Mô hình Sùng đạo sử dụng một thước đo về sự sùng đạo.
