Ảnh hưởng của việc xoay ống khoan đến việc cải thiện việc làm sạch lỗ khoan bằng hạt polypropylene trong bùn nước ở các góc khoan khác nhau

Việc làm sạch lỗ khoan luôn là một vấn đề, đặc biệt trong quá trình khoan, và bùn khoan đóng vai trò quan trọng trong việc vận chuyển các mảnh cắt qua đoạn khoan ống đến bề mặt. Để vận chuyển các mảnh cắt, bùn nước có thêm hạt polypropylene được chọn vì tính thân thiện với môi trường và hiệu quả về chi phí. Hạt polypropylene giúp vận chuyển các mảnh cắt bằng cách cung cấp thêm lực nổi để nâng các mảnh cắt lên bề mặt thông qua ảnh hưởng của lực va chạm và lực kéo. Thí nghiệm này được thực hiện sử dụng một đoạn thử nghiệm dài 20 ft, bùn khoan 10 ppg và vận tốc annular 0,86 m/s trong một mô phỏng rig quy mô phòng thí nghiệm, và nồng độ hạt polypropylene được biến đổi từ 0 đến 8 ppb. Khi nồng độ hạt polypropylene tăng lên, tỷ lệ vận chuyển mảnh cắt cũng tăng theo. Đã quan sát thấy rằng số lượng mảnh cắt được nâng lên ít nhất ở góc quan trọng 60°, tiếp theo là 45°, 30°, 90° và 0°. Thêm vào đó, kích thước mảnh cắt có tác động vừa phải đến hiệu suất nâng mảnh cắt, trong đó kích thước mảnh cắt nhỏ hơn (0.5–1.0 mm) dễ nâng hơn so với kích thước mảnh cắt lớn hơn (2.0–2.8 mm). Hơn nữa, một nghiên cứu về lực nổi và lực xung đã được tiến hành để điều tra hiệu suất nâng mảnh cắt của các nồng độ hạt polypropylene khác nhau. Khả năng nâng này cũng được hỗ trợ bởi sự có mặt của cellulose polyanionic (PAC), giúp tăng cường khả năng tải của bùn và có hiệu quả với các mảnh cắt nhỏ. Kết quả cho thấy rằng trong sự hiện diện của sự xoay ống, hiệu suất nâng mảnh cắt được cải thiện nhẹ do chuyển động quỹ đạo do ống khoan đem lại nhằm làm sạch lỗ khoan tốt hơn. Kết luận, hạt polypropylene kết hợp với sự xoay ống làm tăng tỷ lệ vận chuyển mảnh cắt trong lòng khoan.
