Tác động của bức xạ UV (254 và 366 nm) lên sự sản xuất isoflavonoid trong các văn hóa callus của Genista tinctoria đã được nghiên cứu. Sự sản xuất các isoflavonoid tách riêng trong nền văn hóa callus của G. tinctoria đã thay đổi tùy thuộc vào bước sóng của điều trị UV. Genistin, genistein, daidzein, biochanin A đã được hình thành ở mức độ cao hơn sau khi chiếu xạ UV trong văn hóa callus so với văn hóa callus không được điều trị. Hàm lượng genistin tối đa (3.03%) đã đạt được sau khi điều trị bằng UV 254 nm trong 300 giây (lấy mẫu sau 48 giờ). Hàm lượng genistin cao (2.06%) cũng được quan sát thấy sau 120 giây chiếu xạ UV 366 nm (lấy mẫu sau 48 giờ). Formononetin chỉ được phát hiện sau khi điều trị UV trong văn hóa callus G. tinctoria.
