Oxy phân tử (O2) là tác nhân oxy hóa “xanh” lý tưởng cho tổng hợp hữu cơ. Gần đây, cộng đồng tổng hợp đã tiến hành nghiên cứu sâu rộng để phát triển các phương pháp oxy hóa hiếu khí chọn lọc ở pha lỏng mới nhằm đáp ứng nhu cầu giảm thiểu tác động môi trường của quá trình tổng hợp và sản xuất hóa chất. Các quy trình hóa học xanh và bền vững không chỉ phụ thuộc vào hóa học hiệu quả mà còn vào việc triển khai các công nghệ lò phản ứng nâng cao hiệu suất phản ứng và an toàn tổng thể. Lò phản ứng dòng liên tục đã tạo điều kiện cho việc sử dụng O2 an toàn và hiệu quả hơn, đồng thời cho phép các quy trình có thể mở rộng.
