Tóm tắt Đặt vấn đề Tỷ lệ viêm túi mật hoại tử, một tình trạng có khả năng gây biến chứng nặng nề và có thể dẫn đến tử vong, đã được báo cáo là tăng lên trong thời gian đại dịch COVID-19. Mục tiêu của nghiên cứu ChoCO-W là so sánh các phát hiện lâm sàng và kết quả của viêm túi mật cấp tính ở những bệnh nhân mắc COVID-19 so với những bệnh nhân không mắc bệnh này. Phương pháp Dữ liệu được thu thập theo cách có triển vọng trong 6 tháng (từ 1 tháng 10 năm 2020 đến 30 tháng 4 năm 2021) với việc theo dõi trong 1 tháng. Vào tháng 10 năm 2020, biến thể Delta của virus SARS CoV-2 đã được phân lập lần đầu tiên. Các dữ liệu về nhân khẩu học và lâm sàng đã được phân tích và báo cáo theo hướng dẫn STROBE. Các đặc điểm ban đầu và kết quả lâm sàng của bệnh nhân mắc COVID-19 được so sánh với những bệnh nhân không mắc bệnh này. Kết quả Tổng cộng có 2893 bệnh nhân từ 42 quốc gia, 218 trung tâm đã tham gia, với độ tuổi trung bình là 61,3 (SD: 17,39) năm; 1481 (51%) bệnh nhân là nam giới. Một trăm tám mươi (6,9%) bệnh nhân dương tính với COVID-19, trong khi 2412 (93,1%) âm tính. Các bệnh đồng mắc trước đó như bệnh tim mạch (p < 0.0001), tiểu đường (p < 0.0001), và bệnh phổi tắc nghẽn mạn tính nặng (p = 0.005) có tần suất đáng kể hơn ở nhóm COVID-19. Kết luận Tỷ lệ viêm túi mật hoại tử cao hơn ở bệnh nhân COVID so với bệnh nhân không mắc COVID nhập viện cấp cứu vì viêm túi mật cấp. Viêm túi mật hoại tử ở bệnh nhân COVID liên quan đến các biến chứng sau phẫu thuật độ cao Clavien-Dindo, thời gian lưu trú tại bệnh viện kéo dài hơn và tỷ lệ tử vong cao hơn. Tỷ lệ mổ cắt túi mật mở cao hơn ở bệnh nhân COVID so với bệnh nhân không mắc COVID. Khuyến nghị nên hoãn điều trị phẫu thuật ở bệnh nhân COVID, khi có thể, để giảm tỷ lệ biến chứng và tử vong. Nhiễm COVID-19 và viêm túi mật hoại tử không phải là các chống chỉ định tuyệt đối để thực hiện phẫu thuật cắt túi mật nội soi, trong từng trường hợp cụ thể, dưới tay nghề của những chuyên gia.
