Testing of spot welded coupons in combined tension and shear
Tóm tắt
A test fixture and test method for strength and fatigue testing of spot welded coupons subjected to combined tension and shear forces has been presented. The fixture provides reasonably consistent results for the ultimate strength tests although induced clamping strains for the current test fixture are higher than desired. The strength and fatigue test results will be used by automotive structural engineers in design assessment calculations.
