U nang tế bào khổng lồ trung tâm là một tổn thương lành tính trong xương thường xảy ra ở các xương mặt. Vị trí của nó trong xương thái dương là cực kỳ hiếm và chỉ có 20 trường hợp được báo cáo trong tài liệu. Chúng tôi báo cáo một trường hợp của một bệnh nhân nữ trưởng thành trình bày với viêm tai giữa dịch bên phải và viêm xương chũm liên quan đến mất thính lực hỗn hợp kéo dài 6 tháng. Chụp CT và MRI cho thấy một khối u xương thái dương liên quan đến xương chũm và xung quanh khớp thái dương hàm bên phải. Khối u đã được loại bỏ hoàn toàn sau phẫu thuật gãy thành ống khu vực xương chũm và loại trừ tai giữa. Giải phẫu bệnh cho thấy đó là một u nang tế bào khổng lồ trung tâm. Bảy tháng sau phẫu thuật, không có dấu hiệu tái phát. U nang tế bào khổng lồ trung tâm là một tổn thương xương thái dương hiếm, với các dấu hiệu lâm sàng và hình ảnh không đặc hiệu nhưng có các đặc điểm bệnh lý điển hình. Hiện nay, loại bỏ phẫu thuật hoàn toàn và theo dõi định kỳ bằng MRI là phương pháp quản lý tốt nhất.
