Study of the concentrating capacity of a spherical reflector

The concentration field of a spherical reflector on the focal and afocal (parallel to the focal) planes is studied. The optical scheme of the concentrator with a spherical reflector that minimizes the nonuniformity of the energy distribution on the receiver plane is proposed. A technique for analyzing the concentrator with respect to the average concentration factor on a circular receiver is given.
