Tóm tắt

The purpose of this review is to provide a comprehensive summary of the management of brain metastases, and the role of stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), based on the reported randomized controlled trials. An overview of SRS technology is also provided with a focus on the technologic innovations leading to frameless SRS. SRS as it applies to the post-operative patient is also discussed as this treatment will likely be a standard of care option for patients in the future, and currently being evaluated in randomized studies.
