Tóm tắt

A new procedure for the ultraviolet spectrophotometric determination of lead(II) with ethylenediaminetetrametilenphosphonic acid (EDTMPA) is described. The spectra showed broad absorption maxima at 242 nm. The effects of amount of reagent, pH, time, and temperature were also studied. The interval of Beer's law is 1.7–27.8 μg Pb(II)/ml. The Ringbom optimal range falls between 6.8 and 24.0 μg Pb(II)/ml, with a minimum photometric error of 3%. The nature of the complex in solution, as well as the interferences, reproducibility, and precision of the method was investigated. The method has been applied to the determination of lead in bronze.
