Cờ bạc như một yếu tố rủi ro trong sự phát triển của thanh niên, đặc biệt là các nguyên nhân và hậu quả của nó, đã trở thành đề tài của ngày càng nhiều các nghiên cứu. Tuy nhiên, tài liệu liên quan đến đối tượng thanh niên vẫn chưa được tập hợp một cách có hệ thống. Nghiên cứu hiện tại áp dụng phương pháp biblio-metric mô tả để lập bản đồ các nghiên cứu toàn cầu về cờ bạc ở thanh niên bằng cách sử dụng siêu dữ liệu từ cơ sở dữ liệu Web of Science. Kết quả cho thấy nghiên cứu về cờ bạc ở thanh niên ở cấp độ quốc gia đã tăng lên trong những năm gần đây, mặc dù một số vùng vẫn chưa được đại diện đầy đủ. Phân tích đồng xuất hiện đã tiết lộ việc sử dụng thường xuyên của một số thuật ngữ. Hy vọng rằng những phát hiện này sẽ hỗ trợ cho các nghiên cứu trong tương lai về đề tài này.
