Regularities in the Spasmodic Development of Deltas

Regularities of spasmodic delta formation, a rare type of the process, accompanied by breakthroughs and radical transformations of delta hydrographic network, are discussed. The physical prerequisites of this type of delta development are identified; a new scheme of process development and its new division into stages are proposed. Examples are given.
