Tóm tắt
Bọ nhỏ trong tổ ong (SHB) là loài tổng quát có nguồn gốc từ châu Phi cận Sahara và sinh sản liên quan đến ong mật, ong bumblebee, ong không đốt, trái cây và thịt. Gần đây, SHB đã trở thành loài xâm lấn, và đã có những ghi nhận về sự xâm nhập từ Mỹ, Úc, châu Âu và châu Á kể từ năm 1996. Trong khi SHB thường được coi là một loài sâu bệnh nhỏ ở châu Phi, chúng có thể gây ra thiệt hại đáng kể cho các quần thể ong xã hội ở những vùng đất mới của mình. Những lý do tiềm ẩn cho sự tác động khác nhau bao gồm những khác biệt trong hành vi ong, khí hậu và sự giải phóng khỏi các kẻ thù tự nhiên.
