Tình trạng kết hợp bệnh tâm thần ở một nhóm phụ nữ Ai Cập mắc chứng co thắt âm đạo

Chứng co thắt âm đạo là một loại rối loạn tình dục ở nữ giới ảnh hưởng đến chất lượng sống của phụ nữ và mối quan hệ của cặp đôi. Đây được coi là nguyên nhân chủ yếu gây ra tình trạng hôn nhân không kết hợp ở phụ nữ tại Ai Cập. Nghiên cứu này nhằm đánh giá các rối loạn tâm thần kèm theo, các rối loạn nhân cách và mức độ alexithymia trong một mẫu phụ nữ mắc chứng co thắt âm đạo. Đây là một nghiên cứu trường hợp so với đối chứng, trong đó 30 phụ nữ được chẩn đoán mắc chứng co thắt âm đạo đang được theo dõi tại phòng khám tình dục ở Bệnh viện Đại học Ain Shams tham gia nghiên cứu, so với 30 đối chứng. Đánh giá được thực hiện dựa trên dữ liệu nhân khẩu học xã hội, thang đo Alexithymia Toronto (TAS-20), Phỏng vấn Lâm sàng Cấu trúc cho các Rối loạn của DSM-IV-TR Trục I (SCID-I), và Phỏng vấn Lâm sàng Cấu trúc cho các Rối loạn Trục II của DSM-IV (SCID-II). Kết quả cho thấy phụ nữ mắc chứng co thắt âm đạo có mức độ giáo dục đáng kể dưới cấp đại học (P = 0.026) cùng với các bạn đời của họ (P = 0.006). Bên cạnh đó, phụ nữ mắc chứng co thắt âm đạo đồng thời có mức độ alexithymia cao (p < 0.001), nhiều hơn một rối loạn lo âu và/hoặc trầm cảm (P = 0.032) so với nhóm đối chứng. Ngoài ra, rối loạn nhân cách giới hạn/đặc điểm và các đặc điểm nhân cách né tránh xuất hiện đáng kể hơn trong nhóm mắc bệnh (P = 0.026, P = 0.001 và P = 0.045). Hơn nữa, việc có hai hoặc nhiều đặc điểm như sự cứng nhắc, hoàn hảo hóa, kịch tính hóa, biến động tâm trạng và tính bốc đồng là thường gặp hơn trong mẫu (P < 0.001), cho thấy một mẫu hình nhân cách độc đáo của phụ nữ mắc chứng co thắt âm đạo. Phụ nữ mắc chứng co thắt âm đạo có mức độ alexithymia cao hơn, và có xu hướng phát triển nhiều rối loạn lo âu cũng như trầm cảm hơn so với nhóm đối chứng, và họ có những đặc điểm nhân cách cụ thể.
