Nghiên cứu đoàn hệ có triển vọng về thời gian xem truyền hình và tỷ lệ mắc ung thư phổi: những phát hiện từ Nghiên cứu Đoàn hệ Hợp tác Nhật Bản
Tóm tắt
Mục tiêu của nghiên cứu là xác định xem thời gian xem truyền hình kéo dài có liên quan đến tỷ lệ mắc ung thư phổi ở người trưởng thành Nhật Bản trong độ tuổi từ 40–79 thông qua một nghiên cứu đoàn hệ quy mô lớn trên toàn quốc. Tổng cộng có 54.258 người trưởng thành (23.090 nam và 31.168 nữ) không có tiền sử ung thư tại thời điểm bắt đầu (1988–1990) đã được tuyển chọn và theo dõi trong thời gian trung bình là 15,6 năm. Mô hình rủi ro tỷ lệ Cox được sử dụng để tính toán tỷ lệ rủi ro (HR) và khoảng tin cậy 95% (CI) cho ung thư phổi theo thời gian xem truyền hình, đã điều chỉnh theo tuổi tác và các yếu tố gây nhiễu tiềm tàng khác. Trong thời gian nghiên cứu, có 798 người tham gia được chẩn đoán mắc ung thư phổi. HR của những người tham gia nam giới xem truyền hình trên 4 giờ mỗi ngày là 1,36 (CI 95% 1,04–1,80) so với những người xem <2 giờ/ngày. Những phát hiện của chúng tôi gợi ý rằng việc giảm thời gian xem truyền hình có thể có lợi trong việc phòng ngừa ung thư phổi.
