Tóm tắt

Giới thiệu. Thiếu máu tiếp tục là một vấn đề sức khỏe cộng đồng nghiêm trọng ở phụ nữ trong độ tuổi sinh sản (WRA) tại các quốc gia đang phát triển, bao gồm cả Cộng hòa Dân chủ Nhân dân Lào (Lào PDR), nơi tỷ lệ thiếu máu ở phụ nữ vẫn cao. Nghiên cứu này nhằm đánh giá tỷ lệ thiếu máu và các yếu tố liên quan ở WRA từ 15–49 tuổi tại Lào PDR. Phương pháp. Chúng tôi thực hiện một nghiên cứu cắt ngang, sử dụng bộ dữ liệu Khảo sát Chỉ số Xã hội Lào II, năm 2017. Tổng cộng có 12,519 WRA được kiểm tra thiếu máu đã được đưa vào nghiên cứu này thông qua các phương pháp lấy mẫu đa tầng. Phân tích hồi quy logistic nhị phân được sử dụng để xác định các yếu tố liên quan đến thiếu máu. Kết quả. Trong số 12,519 phụ nữ, có 4,907 (39.2%) bị thiếu máu. Phân tích hồi quy logistic đa biến cho thấy sống ở các tỉnh miền Trung (aOR: 2.16, 95% CI: 1.96–2.38), khu vực nông thôn (aOR: 1.1, 95% CI: 1.00–1.20), gia đình đông người với hơn 6 người (aOR: 1.14, 95% CI: 1.01–1.29), mang thai (aOR: 1.46, 95% CI: 1.22–1.74), có bất kỳ kết quả thai nghén không thuận lợi nào (aOR: 1.14, 95% CI: 1.03–1.25), nguồn nước uống kém (aOR: 1.24, 95% CI: 1.10–1.39), và cơ sở vệ sinh kém (aOR: 1.15, 95% CI: 1.03–1.28) có mối liên hệ đáng kể với nguy cơ thiếu máu. Ngược lại, bốn yếu tố có liên quan đến việc ngăn ngừa thiếu máu, gồm có độ tuổi từ 25–34 tuổi (aOR: 0.81, 95% CI: 0.74–0.90), trình độ giáo dục sau trung học (aOR: 0.76, 95% CI: 0.60–0.97), dân tộc H'Mông-Miền (aOR: 0.48, 95% CI: 0.39–0.59), và xem truyền hình gần như hàng ngày (aOR: 0.84, 95% CI: 0.75–0.95). Kết luận. Thiếu máu vẫn là một thách thức lớn về sức khỏe cộng đồng tại Lào PDR. Cần xem xét các can thiệp dựa trên sự khác biệt về địa lý, cải thiện nguồn nước an toàn và cơ sở vệ sinh, khuyến khích sử dụng chất bổ sung sắt trong thai kỳ, và giáo dục sức khỏe qua các phương tiện truyền thông đại chúng cho phụ nữ ở khu vực nông thôn.
