Predicting the distraction of car drivers by cognitive modelling
Tóm tắt
When reviewing the literature on accident research it becomes obvious that the distraction of car drivers has increased intensively during the last years and that it is a serious reason for many car crashes: drivers are not only faced with a more complex traffic environment, but at the same time the availability of in-vehicle information systems has increased, too. For sure, a major aim must be to gain a better understanding of the underlying distracters and to provide tools for designing both the traffic environment and the in-vehicle interfaces less demanding.
