Tóm tắt

Leptogenys sp. 13 (nearkraepelini) exclusively hunts on earwigs (Gonolabis electa andParalabis sp.). This unusual kind of prey specialization is shown by field data, prey midden investigations, and prey selection experiments. The adaptive value of the species' prey specialization is discussed.
