Tóm tắt

Rùa Blanding (Emys blandingii) đã giảm sút đáng kể ở Bắc Mỹ do các hoạt động của con người, khiến quần thể trở nên nhỏ hơn và ngày càng bị phân mảnh hơn về không gian. Chúng tôi đã lấy mẫu 212 con rùa để đánh giá sự biến đổi tại tám locus microsatellite trong và giữa 18 quần thể E. blandingii trên toàn bộ khu vực phân bố chính của nó tại miền trung tây Hoa Kỳ (Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, và Nebraska). Tất cả các locus và quần thể đều có tính đa hình cao.
