Chủ nghĩa dân túy trong chính sách? Chủ nghĩa dân túy chính trị và các chính sách hội nhập di dân ở Rotterdam và Amsterdam

Sự hiện diện của các đảng chính trị có xu hướng dân túy đã gia tăng ở Tây Âu từ đầu những năm 1980. Tuy nhiên, chủ nghĩa dân túy không thể bị giới hạn chỉ như một hiện tượng chính trị. Trong nghiên cứu học thuật, các khía cạnh chính trị của chủ nghĩa dân túy thường được ưu tiên hơn các khía cạnh chính sách. Bài viết này tập trung vào mức độ tồn tại của chủ nghĩa dân túy trong chính sách và liệu có mối quan hệ nào giữa chủ nghĩa dân túy chính trị và chủ nghĩa dân túy trong các chính sách hội nhập di dân hay không. Một sự kết hợp của phân tích diễn ngôn định tính và phân tích nội dung định lượng được sử dụng để phân tích cả tài liệu chính trị và chính sách trong hai nghiên cứu trường hợp địa phương ở Hà Lan, các thành phố Rotterdam và Amsterdam. Bằng cách tập trung vào chủ nghĩa dân túy như một khái niệm tương đối và như một sự sắp xếp diễn ngữ, chúng tôi cho thấy sự hiện diện của chủ nghĩa dân túy chính sách không phụ thuộc vào chủ nghĩa dân túy chính trị.
