Nông nghiệp phân tử từ thực vật là một ngành công nghiệp mới và đầy triển vọng liên quan đến công nghệ sinh học thực vật. Trong bài viết này, chúng tôi mô tả một số hệ thống thực vật đa dạng đã được phát triển để sản xuất các protein hữu ích cho mục đích dược phẩm và công nghiệp. Ưu điểm và nhược điểm của từng hệ thống được thảo luận. Những sản phẩm nông nghiệp phân tử đầu tiên từ thực vật đã được đưa ra thị trường, và nhiều sản phẩm khác sắp sửa tham gia thị trường trong vài năm tới. Chúng tôi giải thích cơ sở lý luận cho việc sử dụng thực vật như những nhà máy sinh học.
