Vi khuẩn Bacillus subtilis IMVV-7023 tích lũy các chất phenolic hoạt tính sinh học trong dung dịch nuôi cấy. Chúng bao gồm một lượng đáng kể axit phenylacetic (29,03%) và axit 4-hydroxyphenylacetic (10,49%). Những axit này có thể kích thích sự hình thành rễ ở cây trồng. Chúng cũng ức chế các tác nhân gây bệnh nấm trên cây.
