Hiện nay, hầu hết alumina mesoporo được tổng hợp bằng phương pháp khuôn mềm với đường kính lỗ nhỏ hơn 10 nm, điều này có xu hướng gây ra cấu trúc vô định hình và những hạn chế lớn cho phản ứng xúc tác. Do đó, chúng tôi đã chọn sử dụng copolymer ba khối làm khuôn và tự lắp ráp bằng cách bay hơi dung môi để tổng hợp alumina mesoporo siêu lớn mà không cần bất kỳ tác nhân mở rộng lỗ nào. Alumina mesoporo được tổng hợp được sử dụng cho phản ứng hydro hóa 4-methoxy cinnamaldehyde, và alumina mesoporo đã thể hiện khả năng chuyển hóa cao cùng với độ chọn lọc xuất sắc. So với tổng hợp công nghiệp 4-methoxy cinnamyl alcohol, phản ứng có thể đạt chuyển hóa hoàn toàn cinnamaldehyde 4-methoxy thành cinnamyl alcohol 4-methoxy mà không có bất kỳ sản phẩm phụ nào.
