Các nhiễm trùng quanh hốc mắt có thể dẫn đến tình trạng nghiêm trọng của áp xe hốc mắt, và cuối cùng là mất thị lực, thậm chí tử vong. Nghiên cứu hiện tại nhằm mục đích xem xét tài liệu liên quan đến áp xe hốc mắt ở bệnh nhân người lớn và trình bày 2 trường hợp gốc. Một can thiệp phẫu thuật để dẫn lưu áp xe và một cuộc tái phẫu thuật hốc mắt đã được thực hiện. Một tổng quan tài liệu cũng được báo cáo, tập trung vào nguyên nhân và các lựa chọn điều trị liên quan đến áp xe hốc mắt.
