Biến chứng HPV miệng ở bệnh nhân nhiễm HIV

Nhiễm virus papilloma ở người (HPV) và các bệnh liên quan, bao gồm cả trong khoang miệng, chưa giảm đáng kể kể từ khi có sự ra mắt của liệu pháp kết hợp mạnh mẽ để kiểm soát HIV. Hai biểu hiện của HPV trong khoang miệng có thể đang gia tăng là mụn cóc miệng liên quan đến HPV-32 và ung thư miệng liên quan đến HPV-16. Một trọng tâm nghiên cứu hiện tại là lịch sử tự nhiên của các nhiễm HPV trong khoang miệng. Việc hiểu rõ hơn về lịch sử tự nhiên của các nhiễm HPV miệng có thể dẫn đến việc chẩn đoán và điều trị tốt hơn cho các biến chứng HPV miệng ở bệnh nhân dương tính với HIV.
