Công việc được trình bày trong bài báo này liên quan đến việc hình thức hóa hệ thống ontology cơ bản cho hình học chiếu. Việc hình thức hóa này được thực hiện bằng cách sử dụng mô hình đồ thị khái niệm, đã được định nghĩa trong cộng đồng Trí tuệ Nhân tạo. Thông qua cuộc thử nghiệm này, chúng tôi nỗ lực để chứng minh rằng việc áp dụng kỹ thuật đại diện tri thức trong các lĩnh vực toán học là một cách phù hợp để cải thiện độ tin cậy và hiệu quả của các công cụ dành riêng cho quản lý tri thức toán học. Đề xuất của chúng tôi dựa trên việc xây dựng các cơ sở tri thức (được định nghĩa theo các ontology) mà cần được coi là phần lõi của bất kỳ công cụ quản lý tri thức toán học nào như các công cụ tìm kiếm toán học trên web, các hệ thống hướng dẫn thông minh về toán học, các trình chứng minh định lý toán học, v.v. Bài báo này cũng nhằm làm nổi bật những đóng góp mà kỹ thuật ontology mang lại khi xử lý quản lý tri thức toán học.
