Quyết định chia sẻ (SDM) và giao tiếp hiệu quả là những thành phần thiết yếu trong chăm sóc bệnh nhân ung thư. Tỷ lệ phản hồi là 77% (17/22), và 93% cho biết rằng kỹ năng giao tiếp rất quan trọng đối với chuyên ngành của họ. Hầu hết (76%) cho rằng kỹ năng giao tiếp của họ là đầy đủ, nhưng những lĩnh vực gặp khó khăn bao gồm thảo luận về các vấn đề vào cuối đời, hy vọng khi tiên lượng xấu và xử lý với những bệnh nhân thù địch.
