Về việc sử dụng phân loại tạp chí trong khoa học xã hội và nhân văn: bằng chứng từ cơ sở dữ liệu của Ý

Trong khoa học xã hội và nhân văn, hiện tại ở Ý đang sử dụng phân loại tạp chí hai cấp trong bối cảnh chương trình Habilitation Quốc gia; việc đánh giá đồng nghiệp cũng được áp dụng cho một số lượng lớn các bài báo được công bố trong cùng các tạp chí này, trong khuôn khổ cuộc đánh giá quốc gia gần đây (VQR 2011–2014). Chúng tôi tận dụng hai tập dữ liệu phong phú kết hợp này để kiểm tra xem các tạp chí được phân loại là hàng đầu bởi các chuyên gia khoa học có thể hiện tác động cao hơn hay không và nếu các bài báo được xuất bản trong những tạp chí đó nhận được điểm số cao hơn trong các bài đánh giá của đồng nghiệp so với các tạp chí khác. Kết quả chính của chúng tôi cho thấy phân loại ANVUR cung cấp một đại diện tin cậy cho chất lượng của các tạp chí, được đo lường bằng các chỉ số tạp chí và đánh giá của các chuyên gia độc lập đánh giá các bài báo riêng lẻ được xuất bản trong các tạp chí đó. Mặc dù đánh giá đồng nghiệp vẫn được coi là phương pháp chính cho việc đánh giá trong nhân văn và khoa học xã hội, phân tích của chúng tôi ủng hộ quan điểm rằng phân loại tạp chí có thể là một công cụ hữu ích để hỗ trợ đánh giá đồng nghiệp ngay cả trong lĩnh vực khoa học xã hội và nhân văn.
