Myome und Sterilität

Bei Myomen mit manifesten klinischen Symptomen resultiert die Notwendigkeit einer Sanierung oft bereits aus der Symptomatik und dem Leidensdruck. Nach wie vor zu klären ist jedoch, ob die Sterilität per se ein Symptom infolge eines kausalen Zusammenhanges darstellt oder nicht. Die Qualität der Studien reicht eigentlich zur Klärung dieser Frage nicht aus (oft retrospektive Untersuchungen, hinsichtlich vieler Parameter heterogene Kollektive). Für submuköse Myome gilt die Beeinflussung der Fertilität und des Schwangerschaftsverlaufs dennoch als wahrscheinlich. Der Artikel beschreibt und diskutiert den aktuellen Kenntnisstand zum Zusammenhang von Myomen und Sterilität.
