Sự quan tâm gia tăng trong việc quản lý khả năng phục hồi đã dẫn đến những nỗ lực phát triển công cụ tiêu chuẩn hóa cho các đánh giá và các biện pháp định lượng. Tuy nhiên, khả năng phục hồi, như là một thuộc tính của các hệ thống thích ứng phức tạp, không dễ dàng để đo lường.
