Nghiên cứu này khảo sát mối quan hệ giữa định hướng doanh nhân (EO) và chiến lược hiệu quả/linh hoạt (EFS) cùng những tác động của nó đến hiệu suất cho các công ty sản xuất tại nền kinh tế chuyển đổi của Trung Quốc. Dựa trên dữ liệu khảo sát từ 208 công ty sản xuất của Trung Quốc, nghiên cứu sử dụng mô hình hồi quy nhiều bậc để xem xét các tác động của các thành phần nhỏ của EO (tức là, tính đổi mới, tính chủ động và sự chấp nhận rủi ro) đến hiệu suất và những tác động điều tiết của EFS lên mối liên hệ giữa EO và hiệu suất. Kết quả chỉ ra rằng các thành phần nhỏ của EO hỗ trợ sự phát triển hiệu suất của các công ty sản xuất tại Trung Quốc. Hơn nữa, một chiến lược hiệu quả kết hợp với tính đổi mới sẽ thúc đẩy sự phát triển hiệu suất của các công ty sản xuất, trong khi một chiến lược linh hoạt tạo ra lợi nhuận hợp lực với tính chủ động và sự chấp nhận rủi ro để cải thiện hiệu suất của các công ty sản xuất. Nghiên cứu này đóng góp vào nghiên cứu về EO và chiến lược hoạt động, cung cấp một bức tranh toàn diện hơn về cách các công ty sản xuất có thể quản lý các yếu tố này trong một nền kinh tế chuyển đổi để tăng cường hiệu suất.
