Báo cáo ca bệnh này trình bày về việc tái tạo xương hàm dưới với prosthesis khớp thái dương hàm (TMJ) để điều trị nhiễm trùng viêm tủy xương sau khi phẫu thuật chỉnh hình hàm hai hàm và phẫu thuật chỉnh hình cằm. Bệnh nhân, một phụ nữ 41 tuổi, đã xuất hiện triệu chứng đau mặt, khó khăn trong việc mở miệng và lệch hàm sau bốn tháng phẫu thuật chỉnh hình ban đầu. Trong bốn tháng này, bệnh nhân đã trải qua thêm hai ca phẫu thuật hậu phẫu để điều trị các biến chứng.
