Chụp cộng hưởng từ (MRI) là một kỹ thuật hoàn toàn không xâm lấn để đánh giá hệ thống tim mạch. Với kỹ thuật đa phần và chuỗi xung spin echo, toàn bộ trái tim có thể được kiểm tra trong khoảng thời gian từ sáu đến mười phút. Tất cả các nghiên cứu MRI tim của chúng tôi đều được thực hiện với việc kiểm soát điện tâm đồ (ECG), để đạt được độ phân giải phù hợp của các cấu trúc tim. Với kỹ thuật này, các bệnh nhân và động vật có nhiều bất thường về tim đã được nghiên cứu. Các tình trạng bệnh lý được kiểm tra bao gồm nhồi máu cơ tim cấp tính và mạn tính cùng với các biến chứng của chúng, bệnh cơ tim phì đại và sung huyết, bệnh tim bẩm sinh và bệnh màng ngoài tim. MRI mang lại tiềm năng to lớn cho chẩn đoán tim mạch, thậm chí còn vượt xa việc thể hiện giải phẫu bệnh lý, do khả năng nhận diện trực tiếp mô và đo lưu lượng máu.
