Mục tiêu của nghiên cứu là đánh giá tiềm năng về hiệu quả và các biến chứng liên quan đến việc sử dụng băng vệ sinh âm đạo không căng (TVT) trong việc quản lý chứng tiểu không kiểm soát do căng thẳng tại thời điểm theo dõi 5 và 7 năm. Nghiên cứu đã bao gồm 65 bệnh nhân nữ có giai đoạn I thoát vị bàng quang hoặc thấp hơn đã được phẫu thuật theo phương pháp TVT để quản lý chứng tiểu không kiểm soát do căng thẳng. Tại thời điểm theo dõi 5 năm, tỷ lệ khỏi bệnh khách quan là 83% và tỷ lệ thất bại là 9,4%. Tại thời điểm theo dõi 7 năm, tỷ lệ khỏi bệnh khách quan là 80% và tỷ lệ thất bại là 13,5%.
