Kiến thức về bệnh tiểu đường và các yếu tố liên quan ở những người mắc bệnh tiểu đường típ 2 tại Thái Lan: một nghiên cứu cắt ngang

Bệnh tiểu đường típ 2 (T2DM) là một vấn đề sức khỏe cộng đồng toàn cầu với các biến chứng liên quan đến kiến thức hướng dẫn tự chăm sóc. Kiến thức hạn chế có thể dẫn đến việc kiểm soát đường huyết kém, nhưng chưa có nghiên cứu nào đo lường kiến thức về tiểu đường ở những người được chẩn đoán mắc T2DM tại Thái Lan. Nghiên cứu này nhằm điều tra mức độ kiến thức về tiểu đường và các yếu tố liên quan ở những người mắc T2DM tại Thái Lan. Nghiên cứu cắt ngang này được thực hiện tại một tỉnh miền Đông Bắc Thái Lan với 276 người mắc T2DM, trong đó có 195 phụ nữ và 81 nam giới, sử dụng bảng hỏi tự báo cáo chuẩn hóa, Bài kiểm tra kiến thức về tiểu đường. Dữ liệu được phân tích bằng kiểm định chi bình phương của Pearson, phân tích phương sai một chiều và kiểm định t cho các mẫu độc lập. Phần lớn người tham gia khảo sát có kiến thức về tiểu đường kém ở tất cả các chỉ số phụ; tổng kiến thức về tiểu đường (96.7%), kiến thức tổng quát về tiểu đường (71.7%) và kiến thức về sử dụng insulin (92.3%). Không có sự khác biệt nào được tìm thấy trong điểm số kiến thức giữa nam và nữ. Việc hoàn thành giáo dục trung học trở lên, có việc làm hoặc có các biến chứng liên quan đến tiểu đường đều liên quan đến việc tăng tổng kiến thức về tiểu đường và kiến thức tổng quát về tiểu đường. Người mắc T2DM có kiến thức về tiểu đường kém, và những người sử dụng insulin cũng có kiến thức kém về cách sử dụng insulin.
