Abstract

A simple and efficient one‐pot method has been developed for the synthesis of α‐aminonitriles from aldehydes, amines and tributyltin cyanide in the presence of a catalytic amount of iodine with high yields. The reactions proceeded smoothly at room temperature via very simple procedure.
