Trong công trình này, các màng nanocomposite polyvinyl clorua/alumina (PVC/Al2O3) siêu lọc (UF) đã được chế tạo với các lượng Al2O3 khác nhau trong khoảng 0–2 wt.%. Màng PVC nguyên chất và màng nanocomposite tối ưu đã được đánh giá trong một hệ thống màng ngâm để loại bỏ axit humic (HA). Quang phổ hồng ngoại biến đổi Fourier (FTIR) đã xác nhận sự hiện diện của nhóm hydroxyl (OH) trên bề mặt màng nanocomposite PVC. Kết quả cho thấy màng nanocomposite với 1.5 wt.% hạt nano Al2O3 có giá trị độ rỗng và độ ưa nước cao nhất so với các mẫu khác. Những hình ảnh từ kính hiển vi điện tử quét phát xạ trường (FE-SEM) cho thấy rằng khi thêm Al2O3 vào cấu trúc màng, nhiều lỗ hơn và lỗ lớn hơn đã được hình thành trên bề mặt màng.
