Cắt dạ dày hoàn toàn dự phòng (PTG) vẫn là phương pháp duy nhất để ngăn ngừa ung thư dạ dày cho những người có đột biến gen dễ mắc phải Ung Thư Dạ Dày Di Truyền Rải Rác (HDGC), chủ yếu ở gen CDH1. Nhóm người nhỏ nhưng đang gia tăng thực hiện PTG ở tuổi trẻ được dự đoán có tuổi thọ gần bằng dân số chung, tuy nhiên, kiến thức về các tác động lâu dài và yêu cầu theo dõi sau PTG còn hạn chế. Nghiên cứu này nhằm xác định tiêu chuẩn chăm sóc cho việc theo dõi sau PTG. Thông qua việc kết hợp giữa xem xét tài liệu và sự đồng thuận Delphi hai vòng từ các đơn vị HDGC/PTG chính và các bác sĩ, cùng các đại diện bệnh nhân, chúng tôi đã sản xuất một bộ khuyến nghị cho việc theo dõi sau PTG. Có 42 phản hồi ở vòng đầu tiên và 62 phản hồi ở vòng thứ hai từ các bác sĩ lâm sàng, các chuyên gia y tế đồng hành và các đại diện bệnh nhân. Các hướng dẫn bao gồm các khuyến nghị về thời gian đánh giá và các chuyên khoa tham gia vào việc cung cấp theo dõi, bổ sung vi chất dinh dưỡng và theo dõi, sức khỏe xương và cung cấp thông tin bằng văn bản. Mặc dù bằng chứng hỗ trợ các hướng dẫn còn hạn chế, sự đồng thuận của các chuyên gia tạo ra một khung để quản lý tốt nhất cho những người sau PTG và có thể hỗ trợ trong việc thu thập thông tin về các tác động lâu dài của PTG.
