Mục tiêu của bài báo là đề xuất các công cụ thiết kế cho nhóm cọc khi có tải trọng thẳng đứng và mô men được áp dụng đồng thời. Điều này được thực hiện bằng cách trình bày một phương pháp để suy diễn giải pháp chính xác cho đường biên thất bại trong không gian lực tổng quát, bao gồm một tải trọng thẳng đứng và một mô men với các thành phần theo hai trục, nhằm phục vụ cho các yêu cầu về khả năng mang tải, giúp loại bỏ những giả định quá bảo thủ thường được áp dụng trong thiết kế. Hơn nữa, các giải pháp dạng kín cho các miền tương tác dựa trên hiệu suất cũng được cung cấp, cho phép phát hiện tất cả các kết hợp của tải trọng bên ngoài liên quan đến một giá trị chấn động và/hoặc xoay của nền móng, điều này cực kỳ hữu ích khi thiết kế bị chi phối bởi các yêu cầu về khả năng sử dụng. Việc áp dụng những công thức đơn giản này cung cấp kết quả tương đối phù hợp với các giải pháp nghiêm ngặt hơn được suy diễn từ một quy trình số phát triển đặc biệt cho vấn đề hiện tại.
