Bài báo này xem xét nỗ lực của giáo dục đại học liên kết giữa các Mục tiêu Phát triển Bền vững của Liên Hợp Quốc (SDGs) và tính bền vững của hệ thống nông sản, trong bối cảnh báo cáo về sự chuyển động trì trệ đối với SDG2 ở Đông Nam Á và sự thiếu dữ liệu cho việc giám sát hoặc đánh giá hiệu quả để thực hiện Chương trình Nghị sự 2030. Nó thảo luận về bối cảnh Thái Lan giữa một phong trào toàn cầu đang phát triển trong lý thuyết học thuật, chính sách và thực hành nhằm phổ cập kiến thức và triển khai SDGs trên các khuôn viên, trình bày một trường hợp để minh họa các vấn đề rộng hơn. Các chính sách của Đại học Chulalongkorn, nhận thức của giảng viên, chương trình giảng dạy, nghiên cứu, báo cáo bền vững và quan hệ đối tác về SDGs đã góp phần vào các mục tiêu của SDG2 từ nhiều ngành học và đơn vị học thuật khác nhau. Trường đại học đã có những tiến bộ đáng hoan nghênh kể từ chính sách năm 2017 để thúc đẩy SDGs, nhưng vẫn cần tăng cường khả năng thu thập dữ liệu SDG2, giảng dạy, nghiên cứu và tiếp cận cộng đồng, bao gồm cả liên kết với chính phủ và báo cáo quốc tế để giải quyết những thách thức phức tạp về tính bền vững của hệ thống nông sản. Các nghiên cứu so sánh cũng có thể hữu ích trong việc tranh luận một cách phê phán về những thiếu sót của SDGs và thúc đẩy tính bền vững về kinh tế xã hội, sinh thái, hệ thống nông sản, cộng đồng và khuôn viên trường.
