Carcinoma tế bào gan (HCC) là loại ung thư phổ biến nhất ở Ai Cập do virus viêm gan nội sinh. Ung thư đôi khi xảy ra cùng với HCC hiếm khi được báo cáo. Chúng tôi đã thu thập dữ liệu hồi cứu từ những bệnh nhân HCC có khối u nguyên phát khác tại một trung tâm ung thư bậc ba. Mười lăm bệnh nhân đã được tham gia vào chuỗi trường hợp này, các dữ liệu dịch tễ học, loại ung thư thứ hai, khoảng thời gian giữa hai khối u, phương pháp điều trị đã áp dụng, cũng như mô hình tái phát và sống sót đã được hiển thị. Một phần ba các khối u đã xảy ra đồng thời, trong khi phần còn lại HCC chủ yếu là ung thư thứ hai. Ung thư vú là loại khối u nguyên phát khác thường gặp nhất. Không có khối u thứ hai nào tái phát sau khi điều trị ngoại trừ ung thư tuyến tiền liệt không được điều trị triệt để. Thời gian sống toàn bộ trung bình của bệnh nhân ngắn hơn so với các chuỗi trước đó, khoảng 29 tháng. Kết luận, tình trạng ung thư đôi khi có HCC có các phác đồ điều trị phức tạp hơn; tuy nhiên, điều này không nhất thiết dẫn đến tiên lượng xấu hơn. Kết quả khối u HCC vẫn là yếu tố dự đoán chính về sự sống sót.
